As a retired surgeon and educator, Dr. Ralph Broadwater understands the rigors and demands of physicians. Ralph’s practice identifies the unique needs of physicians with a focus on wealth creation, money management, and wealth management in retirement. As a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, he has worked with both established and young physicians since 1996, helping them identify and reach their goals, and effectively investing for their future.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school and completed his surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a two-year fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas before returning to Arkansas to establish his surgical oncology practice. In December 2020 he retired from his surgery practice after a 35-year career.
Ralph is married to Anne Jansen Broadwater, former news anchor with the CBS television affiliate in Little Rock. They have two sons, John and Michael, and enjoy travel and cooking.
